Wedding Ceremony Photography

It’s finally the big moment! your wedding ceremony! After months of planning you’re “getting hitched”.

I have shot ceremonies in a lot of different types of locations: Outside overlooking a mountainside,  churches, registry offices, hotels, stately homes, barns and marquees. Regardless of your choice, I will gather photos of your arrival, right through to the shower of confetti at the end.

It’s a magical time for everyone there including us photographers. Everyone loves a good wedding, and always gets a bit teary when you read your vows. It’s time to take in the moment, enjoy that special day and just let your emotions go WILD!

Wedding Ceremony Venue

Wedding ceremony venues, especially churches and registry offices usually need a bit of sprucing up to match your wedding vibe. That could be flowers, ribbons, cherry blossom trees or additional lighting.

Once the room is prepped we will endeavour to get photos prior to your arrival, room, really can look beautiful on their own, and sometimes once people arrive it’s tricky to get that stunning shot.

Whatever you are able to do with the venue, we will get lovely wedding ceremony photos of the room before you arrive, sometimes it’s only in the photos that you see what your guests see when they arrive, and we make sure to record every detail!

Wedding Ceremony arrival

If you’re doing your preparations in another location, you will likely have a wedding car to drive you to your wedding ceremony. Your arrival is eagerly awaited by your soon-to-be spouse, and the rest of your guests. Your arrival and disembarkment from your vehicle is a beautiful moment that I love to capture.

You might be greeted by your bridal party, your dad, or another family member who will join you down the aisle, but it’s a special moment, and one of the final photos taken of you single as a single person!

Ceremony Processional

It’s here! your BIG MOMENT! this is where having a wedding ceremony photography pro is key because it only happens once, no time for retakes or “Sorry can I take one more! “

If you have 2 photographers booked then one photographer will be in front and one behind you. You really are the centre of attention so put your Big girl pants on and smile walk down that aisle like a boss and just don’t trip! (But if you do that would make a fun photo too, just style it out!)

The best moment ever is when your future husband glances back and you looking all stunning in your wedding dress, and smiles / faints as he realises how lucky his is.

Wedding Ceremony

This is the main event! regardless of if you have a religious, church, or civil wedding ceremony, this will be the moment that your celebrant will lead you in reading your vows, ask you to exchange rings, pronounce you married and say “you may now kiss the bride”.

It’s exciting and nerve-racking for everyone! Nerves are normal but do not worry, my team an I are excellent at getting the perfect shot in the moment and capturing your love, emotions and the vibes between you both.

Say your I do’s safe in the knowledge we have excellent wedding ceremony photos in hand, for you to reminisce in the moment for years to come.

Ceremony Guests

Your closest friends and family seeing you tie the knot will bring them immense happiness, I love taking photos of them with happy tears, beaming smiles and laughter. At Neil and Parna’s wedding ceremony, Neil managed to mess up his vows and said he takes himself to be his bride… that wasn’t quite right ;). Everyone had a little laugh, which gave us a great opportunity for some extra laughing faces.

During your wedding ceremony, you won’t get an opportunity to absorb your guest’s emotions, as you will be quite busy getting married, so we make sure to get some killer shots of them enjoying the moment.

Ceremony Celebrations

Traditionally straight after your wedding ceremony, you will be showered with confetti. We get photos of you covered in colourful dried rose petals hand in hand with a big beaming smile!

Your guests will all want to celebrate with you, and we will sit back at capture some candid photos of you and your new spouse sharing happy moments with those you hold dear. Then off you go to the wedding reception, where we will take the wedding couple photos of you both.
